Veterinarian

Dr. Kayla Miller grew up in Milledgeville, GA and began working as a veterinary assistant right out of high school. She attended the University of Georgia in Athens, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. During her time in Athens, she explored large animal medicine and exotic animal medicine. She also raised dogs to become future seeing eye dogs for the Guide Dog Foundation in New York. In 2018, Dr. Miller moved to Glendale, Arizona to attend Midwestern University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree. She is very excited to join the team at Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital and get to know all of the amazing clients and their pets. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and animal behavior.

Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her labrador retriever, Cosmo, who is a guide dog drop-out. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, golfing, and during the winter, snow skiing. In the fall, she spends her time cheering on the DAWGS! Dr. Miller is very excited to join the team at Pleasant Hill Animal Hospital, and she can’t wait to meet all of the wonderful clients and their pets!
